A quick to the point Sony Vaio CR
Series laptop review.
Vaio CR Series Laptop Review
The Sony VAIO
CR series
laptops are a stylish consumer tailored offering from Sony. Available in multiple color options
including a sweet looking cosmopolitan pink the VAIO CR will allow you to make a bold fashion statement. Putting styling aside the Sony the VAIO CR is also a very functional laptop to boot.
The VAIO CR is a very
capable notebook and we feel it will make a great companion for a wide range of individuals, especially many college
students who are looking for a hip but functional mobile machine. Honestly Sony really has made the VAIO CR very consumer
friendly by
not only packing it with the cool exterior color options but also a very functional set of features.
So first and foremost
the Sony VAIO CR
series laptops are definitely packed with great style and a generous set of
features. Putting
the VAIO CR series through a weeks worth of common tasks
including word processing, Internet browsing, CD burning, and even MP3
encoding it performed very well thanks in part to a powerful Intel Core
2 processor.
Of course while the
Sony VAIO CR is a great all around laptop, like every great thing it does have its fair share of shortcomings. On
the top of our list is definitely the missing dedicated
graphics card. We feel this is going to be a problem for many
users, especially anyone who likes to play the occasional game. There are simply other laptops out there within the same price range
that are more powerful because they include dedicated
graphics cards. So price is obviously our other bother even though a price premium is typical with Sony.
Of
course if the missing dedicated graphics card isn’t an issue with your
line of work, you are still going to be getting very powerful and
functional laptop. The Intel Core 2 Duo processors are simply
amazing and the VAIO CR gets great battery life, especially with a
larger capacity battery. We must
say in the end that the
VAIO CR is definitely worth checking out during your laptop quest,
especially if you are a student looking for a great looking and
functional
laptop computer for school, work, and play.
